Welcome to the realm where the night sky reveals its hidden wonders, where distant galaxies and cosmic phenomena come to life through the lens of astrophotography. This is a place for enthusiasts, dreamers, and anyone who gazes up at the stars in awe.
As a child, I began my astronomy journey at the age of 13 and have continued to engage with related literature ever since. After moving to Germany, I started pursuing my interest in astrophotography in 2021. From the onset of this hobby to the present, I thoroughly enjoy taking and processing astro images, as well as sharing them with like-minded individuals who can appreciate the beauty and complexity of the cosmos.

About me

It might seem unlikely that a child from the southern parts of the tropical paradise of Sri Lanka would develop such a profound interest not only in Astrophotography and Astronomy but also in Electronics, 3D designing & printing while occupation being a Machine learning engineer. I started studying astronomy at age 13 and at the same time, my interest in Electronics sparked. So from the age of 13, I was an active member of the college (Richmond College, Galle, Sri Lanka) astronomical society. Even after I went to university I was an active member of the University of Colombo Astronomical Society, Sri Lanka. But only a few years ago, after moving to Germany, I started Astrophotography. Currently, I am a member of Sternfreunde Berlin & Brandenburg e.V. and have a remote astrophotography setup in Trevinca, Spain.
My adventurous spirit combined with my artistic side paved the road to travel photography. I am particularly drawn to hiking in mountainous areas and have a passion for discovering serene mountain lakes.
These experiences not only fuel my love for photography but also inspire my work in machine learning, where I often find parallels between the intricate patterns of nature and the complexities of algorithms.
