Hey there! Welcome to the corner where I talk about all the cool gear I use to capture stunning images of celestial bodies. Most of my astrophotography still happens right from my balcony in Berlin’s suburbs. It’s amazing what you can see even with the city lights buzzing around.

Sometimes, I pack up and head out to Brandenburg’s darker spots. The difference is like night and day – literally! Out there, the stars are mind-blowing, and I love capturing their beauty.

Traveling is also a big part of my life, and my astro gear often tags along. Whether I’m on a plane or backpacking, I keep things light and portable. You’d be surprised at what you can capture with some nifty, travel-friendly setups!

Sri Lanka, my home country, is a special place for me. Near the equator, with skies much clearer than most of Europe, it’s perfect for some serious astrophotography.

And here’s something really exciting: since March 2024, one of my setups has been running at a remote dark site in Trevinca Skies, Spain. And from July 2025, I’ve also got another rig installed under the beautiful southern skies near Adelaide, Australia. These remote observatories are now capturing the universe for me while I’m back home in Berlin — it’s a dream come true.

So, dive in and check out my gear setups – from the balcony rigs to the ones now working under some of the darkest skies in the world. It’s not just about the equipment; it’s about the adventures they take me on and the stories they help me tell. Let’s explore the universe together!
